The Great Equalizer

A Short Documentary by Mekhali Peyyalamitta & Tim Muliari

I recently had the honor of participating in Mekhali and Tim's senior capstone project, a documentary about education as 'The Great Equalizer.' They did a great job, despite a short timeline and shoestring budget, and have added something of value to the ongoing discussion of educational equity. 

​None of the teachers involved -- all of whom are highly decorated, award winning, effective classroom instructors loved by their students-- were prepped or briefed ahead of time, so these are honest, candid responses.  Keep an eye out for ReadThinkWriteSpeak's new podcast later this summer for more honest discussion about important issues.  (And special thanks to Ms. Peyyalamitta and Mr. Muliari for sharing their work!) ~~ Ryan Tibbens
